Midwest VegFest on June 2!

On Sunday, June 2nd, I will be one of the featured speakers at the Midwest Vegfest in Fairfield, Iowa. My topic will be “Hot Enough for You? Veganism and Climate (not to mention biodiversity collapse, water depletion, and many other problems)”.

And my talk won’t be the only exciting event at the Midwest Vegfest. There will also be a showing of Christspiracy! This documentary from Kip Andersen (Cowspiracy, Seaspiracy, What the Health) and Kameron Waters is a must-see, if you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet. (Full disclosure: I’m briefly in it.) Also, there are other excellent speakers:
Mic the Vegan (MPH and a top vegan YouTuber)
Preston Moore (HSUS)
Cheyanne Holliday (Golden Magnolia Sanctuary)
Rahul Bharadwaj (co-founder of Mira’s Cafe in Fairfield)

It will be held at the Golden Magnolia Sanctuary, 200 S. Main St., in Fairfield, from 11 am to 8 pm that evening. In addition to speakers and the film, there will be food vendors, exhibitors, live music, a community art space, kid’s activities, flash tattoos, a community dinner, and more!

Admission is “Pay What You May”. Tickets aren’t necessary to attend, but organizers would greatly appreciate it to plan accordingly! More details here.

  1. Will you be making your excellent latest book available there? This is probably really your most important publication to date imo. I hope everybody who follows you online gets their hands on a copy!

  2. Oh and Christspiracy is a must see film! Not intended to destroy your religion – but to give it an added dimension: a Jesus who stands up for animals!!
